Repairs You Can Trust

Programmable Logic Controls, PLC Repair

K+S Services has over 40 years of experience repairing a variety of PLC makes and models. As a quality-centered repair service center, we go beyond bench testing and use a high-tech approach that includes specialized test stands in “hot boxes” that allow us to dynamically test each PLC component with the actual controllers, under load, in an environmental condition just like your factory. Any faults are corrected, components are retested, and the PLC is burned in for 72 hours.

When you partner with K+S, you’ll always get a fully reconditioned tool that has been tested and verified to meet OEM performance specifications.

Our Repair Process

K+S Services doesn’t just repair PLCs; we offer reconditioning services. While standard repairs focus on restoring basic functionality, our process emphasizes restoring your PLCs back to OEM performance specifications, further extending the lifespan of components and helping you minimize downtime.

Step 1

Initial Evaluation

Our factory-trained technicians disassemble damaged PLCs in our in-house cleanroom. During our comprehensive evaluation, our technicians look for blown fuses or damaged wiring, debris and corrosion and corrupted programs, failed modules, and more.

Step 2

Failure Analysis Report

K+S will send you a detailed Failure Analysis Report outlining what our technicians discovered during the evaluation, our action plan for repairs, and an estimated cost and timeline.

Step 3

Repairs

Once you approve the quote, our factory-certified technicians will find any faults, correct them, retest the component to verify operation, and burn them in for 72 hour to reduce intermittent failures. Any failing or near-failing components are replaced with OEM parts.

Step 4

Dynamic Performance Testing

PLCs aren’t just bench tested. K+S has over 300 dedicated test stands with custom-built diagnostic programs that detect and eliminate common system faults. We dynamically test PLC controllers with the actual controllers, under load, in an environmental condition similar to your factory.

Step 5

Final Report

We will send your newly repaired component back to you, along with a final report detailing which components were replaced, the identified cause of failure, testing results, and installation instructions.
