Do You Need Ballscrew Repair?

A ballscrew can become worn out over time from alignment, lubrication, or deterioration issues. Don’t wait until your ballscrew fails. A catastrophic failure can affect other components and increase the cost and timeline of your repair service.

To prevent extended downtime and increased repair costs, we recommend scheduling a free evaluation if you’ve noticed:

  • Pitted exteriors
  • Signs of corrosion
  • Heat discoloration
  • Wobbling, chattering, or growling sounds

Ballscrew Repair & Manufacturing
Step 1

Evaluation:

K+S Services provides no-cost evaluations. Our factory-certified technicians carefully disassemble your ballscrew and assess individual components for signs of damage, including misalignment, excessive load, or heat-related issues. Any damage is documented in our quality management system and photographed for your record.

Step 2

Analysis Report:

We’re one of the only industrial repair facilities in the United States that offer Failure Analysis Reports at no additional cost. These reports highlight what our technicians found, including any probable causes of failure, along with our recommendations and cost and time estimates.

Step 3

Repair:

Ballscrew assemblies are reconditioned or remanufactured. We provide a convenient tracking system so you can communicate with our technicians and track project process anywhere, any time. Damaged components are remanufactured or replaced with OEM or OEM-equivalent parts.

Step 4

Diagnostics:

All reconditioned or remanufactured ballscrew assemblies are thoroughly tested in-house. We assess lead accuracy, runout, preload, and backlash, verify torque, and perform static and dynamic load tests on dedicated test stands.

Step 5

Post-Repair:

We’ll send your reconditioned assembly, along with a document outlining what was replaced or remanufactured and maintenance practices for longer-lasting results. All reconditioning services are backed by a 12-month in-service warranty.
