K+S Services offers reliable and efficient repair services to industrial businesses throughout North America. While other service centers offer standard repairs, K+S provides full-service reconditioning, meaning that we don’t just replace faulty components but ensure that repaired components meet or exceed OEM performance specifications.

As a quality-forward service center, we use an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system to document every detail of our process and ensure every technician we hire is factory-trained by the OEM. All reconditioned parts are backed by a 12-month in-service warranty.

K+S diagnoses and services all types of welders and is authorized to recondition any Lincoln or Miller product, including discontinued models. We regularly recondition wire feeders, power sources like the Lincoln Electric Power Wave 450, torch reamers, and portable and engine-driven welding units, such as the Miller Continuum & Auto Continuum systems. To ensure quality in our repairs, we use specially designed test stands, including our Dengensha Decomstar resistive weld control timer, which uses a teach box to program weld schedules.

Our Welder Repair Process

K+S is factory-authorized to repair robotic welding controllers, wire feeders, power suppliers, weld guns, weld tips, and reamers. Our repair process is comprehensive, focusing on not only replacing damaged components but restoring your welder to complete functionality as specified by the OEM. Because our process is comprehensive, repair timelines can range from 15 to 20 days. Depending on part availability, we can provide expedited repair services.

Step 1

Evaluation

Our repair process always begins with a free evaluation. For welders, we start by analyzing overall functionality, pinpointing issues in arc stability, control, and output. Then, we’ll perform welder-specific component inspection, examining electrodes, cables, and control units.

Step 2

Analysis Report

We’ll send a Failure Analysis Report that lists the probable cause of failure, our recommended repair plan, and more accurate cost and timeline estimates.

Step 3

Repair

Each welder repair starts with a thorough cleaning and baking to remove contaminants. Damaged or faulty electrical and mechanical components are replaced with OEM or OEM-equivalent parts. If components need to be machined, our in-house department will bring parts back to OEM spec.

Step 4

Diagnostics

No component leaves our facility until it’s been thoroughly tested. We use test stands customized to specific welder brands and models. These test stands allow us to perform complete dynamic testing, evaluating AC frequency, arc characteristics, wire diameter, and gas, as well as full load testing on servo motors.

Step 5

Post-Repair

Welders are safely shipped back to you (at no additional cost) with a comprehensive report that contains a list of replaced components, insights into electrical faults and mechanical wear, results from our testing, and maintenance recommendations.
