Experience the K+S Difference

Weld Guns & Tips

For over 40 years, K+S Services has helped resistance welders restore and maintain their equipment, building deep expertise across nearly every weld gun configuration in the industry. Our technicians have the experience to diagnose issues quickly and recondition your welding equipment (whether robotic, portable, or fixture-mounted) to OEM performance standards. Reconditioning weld guns and tips not only increases lifespan but ensures quality by resolving issues that lead to inconsistent weld quality, increased cycle times, and unplanned line stoppages that ripple through production schedules.

By restoring your equipment rather than replacing it, we’re helping you significantly reduce maintenance costs and increase machine uptime, all while ensuring every weld meets rigorous standards.

Factory-Trained for Many Brands

Brands We Repair

View All Brands

Our technicians are factory-trained to service a wide range of weld gun models from leading brands, including but not limited to Centerline, Milco, Obara, and Savair. We service all types of common designs, including Strip Clearance, J-Type, C-Type, X-Type, Cylinder, Pinch, Equalizing, and Dual Gun configurations. Across these brands and designs, our team regularly fixes damaged electrode tips, misalignment, air or hydraulic cylinder leaks, shunting caused by tip mushrooming, and reduced clamping force from worn linkages or springs. Left unaddressed, these issues can lead to inconsistent weld strength, increased tip dressing frequency, and costly rework.

Whether you need routine tip replacement or a complete gun rebuild, K+S has the OEM training and in-house testing capabilities to restore your equipment to peak performance quickly.

What to Expect From K+S

K+S Services provides industrial facilities with longer-lasting results because we’ve invested in a quality-forward process that aligns with ISO 9001:2015 standards. All K+S technicians are factory-trained by OEM representatives because we understand that every weld gun requires a different repair approach. Here is what you can expect from our process:

Step 1

Evaluation

No matter what we’re repairing, our process always starts with a thorough, no-cost evaluation. This assessment involves disassembling the weld gun, looking for visible and less visible signs of wear and damage in the transformer, pigtails, cylinder assembly, cooling passages, electrode holders, and more.

Step 2

Analysis Report

We’ll send a no-obligation quote, along with a report on our findings, our assessment on the probable cause of failure or damage, our recommendations, and a repair timeline estimate.

Step 3

Repair

When you approve the quote, we’ll assign the repair project to one of our technicians. Repair progress will be documented every step of the way and can be viewed through our Customer Portal. Any damaged components are replaced with direct OEM or OEM-equivalent spares.

Step 4

Diagnostics

After reconditioning, we perform a multi-stage inspection involving dimensional and alignment checks, force testing with a gauge, electrical testing, pressure testing, and a functional test to ensures it meets minimum nugget size criteria.

Step 5

Post-Repair

Weld guns are shipped back to you along with a report highlighting which components were replaced, results from our multiple tests, and maintenance recommendations to reduce downtime occurrences.
